Web Design & Development
Our web design classes are for new web designers who want to quickly learn web design the right way and for experienced web designers who want to catch up on the latest technologies or learn professional web development tools like Dreamweaver, Flash, or Fireworks. Our instructor not only teaches web design, he is an experienced web designer who uses and keeps up on the latest web technologies on a regular basis.
Web design technology has changed a lot in the last couple of years. Most notably, web designers are finally dropping the use of deprecated HTML tags, using XHTML syntax, and laying out their web pages with cascading style sheets (CSS) instead of HTML tables. This use of CSS greatly reduces the file size of your web pages and makes it a lot easier to maintain and modify your web site. In fact, we recently redesigned the iCellini web site using CSS. Also, the latest version of Dreamweaver (CS3) uses CSS by default for formatting and presentation that used to be done by HTML.
